Health Promotion Outreach Worker
– Sexual Health Promotion (REF WOIH005)
Salary 18,000 37.5 hours - 2year role
Widows and Orphans International (WOI) is offering an opportunity for a suitably experienced and motivated person to work in our Health Promotion Project.
The successful applicant will have an understanding of, and commitment to working to improve Sexual Health and quality of life outcomes for residents in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. You will need to demonstrate skills and ability from a span of experience which must incorporate a sound knowledge of Sexual Health, peer education and support, group work and facilitation.
Telephone Helpline Advisor
(REF WOIH006) Salary £15,650
Hours 37.5hrs with occasional weekends - 2 year role
As part of the Community Expanded Access to Test project, funded by Newham and Tower Hamlets PCT, Widows and Orphans are seeking a full-time Telephone Helpline Advisor. You will be responsible for giving health related information including Sexual Health information via the Free Phone helpline.
The ideal candidate will have; the ability to respond to complex telephone enquiries in a sensitive and clear manner. Extensive experience of working directly with a variety of people on health issues including Sexual Health and a professional attitude, even when under pressure.
For both posts relevant professional qualifications are a must, as are excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm.
